1. Participant profile: Which option best describes your current role?

I am the owner or representative of a product brand. I operate or plan to operate a point of sale (store, restaurant, café, hotel). I am an entrepreneur exploring opportunities in the circular economy. I work in logistics, distribution, or waste management.

2. Product type: What kind of product do you work with or want to work with?

Household cleaning products (detergents, soaps, disinfectants). Packaged food or beverages (dairy, juices, sauces, snacks). Personal care or cosmetic products (shampoo, creams, liquid soap). Industrial or chemical products (paints, solvents, oils).

3. Relationship with the brand: What is your relationship with the product brand?

I am the brand or I am developing my own brand. I sell or distribute third-party products (multi-brand). I do not yet have a defined brand or product. I work with white-label or bulk products without a consumer brand.

4. Consumer interaction model: How do you imagine the consumer interacting with your reuse system?

The consumer goes to a physical location and refills their own container or one available onsite. The consumer buys a product in a standardized package and later returns it for collection and reuse. The consumer receives the product at home and returns the package with the next delivery. I do not yet know the model, but I want it to be as simple as possible for the consumer.

5. Current infrastructure: What infrastructure do you currently have or can access?

I have or can install dispensers/refill stations at a point of sale. I have or can access reverse logistics services (collection and transport of packages). I have or can access washing and sanitization facilities for packaging. I do not yet have specialized infrastructure.

6. Geographic setting: In what type of environment do you mainly plan to operate?

Dense urban area (large city, high consumer concentration). Urban area with dispersed distribution (medium-sized city, several locations). Peri-urban or rural area. Multiple cities or regions (distributed operation).

7. Scale of operation: At what scale do you plan to start?

Small scale, one point of sale or local community. Medium scale, several points of sale in the same city. Medium-to-large scale, regional operation with multiple actors. Large scale, national or international operation.

8. Control over the package: What level of control do you need or want over the package?

I do not need to control the package; the consumer can use their own. I need a standardized package with my brand that is returned and reused. I want to use generic reusable packages that I manage myself. I am interested in eliminating the individual package as much as possible.

9. Availability of funds: What is your current funding situation for this project?

I have little or no initial capital and need a low-cost model to start. I have moderate capital to invest in basic infrastructure. I have significant funding or access to investment for logistics and operations. I am actively seeking funding and need a model with demonstrable returns.

10. Value chain stage: Where in the value chain are you or where do you want to be?

Final point of sale (retail, store, horeca). Manufacturing or product filling/packaging. Logistics and distribution. Design of reuse systems or technology platforms.

11. Operational complexity: How much operational complexity are you willing to manage?

I prefer a simple model with few actors involved. I can coordinate 2–3 key partners (for example supplier + point of sale). I am prepared to manage a chain with multiple actors (logistics, washing, redistribution). I have experience managing complex operations with several stakeholders.

12. Main motivation: What is your main motivation for entering the world of reuse?

To reduce packaging waste in my community or point of sale in a direct and immediate way. To create a scalable reusable packaging system that transforms an industry or category. To offer customers a differentiated and sustainable in-store experience. To develop a circular business model with growth and replication potential.
